Community CareCommunity Care Ministries are an important part of the Meadowlands outreach. During the year small ensembles from the band and Songsters as well as the Singing Company visit nursing/retirement homes and the Booth Centre. Some homes are visited on a monthly basis, while others are visited every other month, and some are visited only at Christmas time. A service is conducted at the homes, which includes a short devotion and music, some by the group and some singing with the residents.

We have retired officers and our Corps Officers visiting those who are hospitalized or shut in. There are also many people who keep in touch with these people by telephone, through cards and prayers.

Prayer chains are set up and a fan out system is used to notify chain members of those in need of prayer.

This ministry is a very important one and a rewarding one for those people who minister in some way as we observe the joy and enthusiasm in the words presented through scripture and music.
